Yes, we will teach your middle school and high school kids on how to earn pin money. They will learn life skills, like the "push to the curb" and scoop and throw methods of snow removal Then they can go into the world with a new money earning skill.
You don't have a shovel to loan your kid? Don't worry. We will supply shovels for participants.
AND ---- we know you have been asking for it. Coming, April, fundamentals of rose bush trimming and spring garden preparation mini-course.
Then --- wait for it --- Fall semester! How to rake leaves without a leaf blower.m We know this one will be well received in our community.
As with all of our mini lessons, tools and work gloves will be provided so there will be no cash outlay on your part.
However, donations are always appreciated.
And for the new drivers in your family, we are developing a course, "How to change the oil on your own car." Oil changes are now running up to $100 per change on some cars. Wouldn't you like your new teenage driver to know how to lower the cost of an oil change or save you the cost of a new engine when your kid forgets to change the oil or says, ".... it," when he doesn't have the money to go to Jiffy?
We are checking with our insurance company to see if we can offer a course on roofing in two years. We'll let you know if that is going to happen.
You don't have to thank us. We are glad to be of service to our community.
FJJ and Sc --- sorry. She says she does not want to be a part of any of this.
you should also give classes on how to build a shed on your front lawn out of cardboard covered in snow, that would be starting next week…
Some communities allow the use of gas leaf blowers for snow removal. You can accomplish this with an electric leaf blower but I would not advise using the chorded type.

Saw this brilliant hack. Wish I had known!
Ok I know this works but is it any less work than just shoveling again?

Yes because fresh snow is a lot easier to move than the chunks of ice the plows deposit.

Fair dinkum.
If anyone is looking for ice melt I was able to grab some at Newark Paint on Springfield Ave and Stuyvesant Ave. They had a pallet and a half about 40 minutes ago.
