No collar or other ID, I assume. Do you know someone who has a chip scanner?
And I also wonder whether you had a chance to observe whether the dog is actually blind or not.
It's very nice of you to crate the little guy and try to figure out where s/he belongs.
I can't get close. I don't see a collar or tags though. He's running around my yard non stop.
Not sure, but I think this same dog has been on here before and Pampered Pups took him and eventually found the owner.
It's called Puppy Love, not Pampered Pets. They do seem to do a lot of re-uniting of lost pets with families. I would also let the police department and animal control officer know you have the dog. That helped us once when we had a lost dog at our house.

Call Puppy Love, do not turn him over to animal control as they have turned them over to East Orange pound, or to Country Lakes and both the vet and the pound were on NJ12 a couple of nights ago for claims about his euthanizing animals before their 7 days. He also euthanized Furry Hearts 4 cats, but that's another story.

You might be right! Cockapoo! But very small. He's sleeping under a tree in the yard now.

Since Shh notified the police (assume SOPD), they should have contact information for Shh. Have you tried calling them?

Yes, the dog is at her foster now. I fed and housed the dog, but couldn't keep him for a second night, especially when no one had called the police for several days, it seemed like he was abandoned.
I just got the PM from the owner and responded.

Yes. The dog found my daughter Tuesday, I spent all day calling around yesterday to try and find the owner.
I am in touch with the foster and she dropped the dog off at the vet this morning, so he's at the vet right now.
Does the owner have photos or any other proof of ownership?
Of course I want the dog to be returned to his owner, but he wasn't chipped and has no other identification.
just spoke to owner, she was in touch with Animal Control who was going to reach out to you.
Also she is driving but will check messages ASAP.
