We had great times, too, at Fogo when we lived in Philly.
I hesitated to post because I wouldn’t call them favorites — we ate only once at each, several years go — but we enjoyed both Fernandes 2 and Brasilia Grill in Newark. Brasilia was a little more casual, if I recall, and one caveat about Fernandes is that it was so loud we could barely hear ourselves across the table. (Our mouths were usually full anyway, so not the biggest complaint.)

Fogo de Chao is a really great dining experience if you like Brazilian rodizio style dining. The food is great and the service is good too.
But bringing a chain churrascaria to Northern NJ seems like if McDonalds started serving a McTaylor Ham McMuffin or Subway started making Sloppy Joes. The Ironbound is packed with that style restaurant! Any favorite places to recommend? Now I’m in the mood for some steak sliced off a giant skewer at my table.
