EZPass - How long to get the sticker or whatever by mail? archived

Having switched from NY to NJ EZ Pass three months ago (I'm still waiting to get all my money due from NY), I can tell you it took one week to receive the tags.

I think mine arrived in less than a week after I ordered it online.

Go to http://ezpassde.com/. They don't charge you a monthly fee for it and it's the same transponder.

Unfortunately, the bast*** in NJ changed the rules. Starting in July, you only get a NJ Turnpike discount if you have NJ EZ-Pass. Which is why I switched.

WOODBRIDGE — New Jersey drivers on the New Jersey Turnpike with out-of-state E-ZPass accounts and tags will lose their off-peak discount starting July 1.

This helps to ensure that you will loyally use NJ EZ Pass giving them that extras $1.00 a month. Another Christie, I won't raise taxes on the rich, initiative on the middle class.

Several of the parkway and tpk rest stops sell the tag and you register it online. Instant registration.

I now have both a NJ and a NY tag for both cars. Why - because hubby goes to SI enough to make it worth our while.

I switched to NJ from NY EZ Pass because I use the turnpike to go to Edgewater, thereby continuing the turnpike discount. I rarely drive to NYC, except to see relatives once a month weekends.

For NYC Mon-Fri day time trips I take Seastreak from the Highlands to NYC. Its about $44 round trip but truly worth it.
