Essex county scam

My wife just got a call from someone claiming to be from the Essex County Sheriff.  They claimed that she had missed jury duty and that there was a bench warrant she had to pay with a cash bond in Newark.  She managed not to laugh, but beware.

That is an odd one.  Wonder where the cash bond needed to be paid?

My guess is that they eventually try to get your bank information.
