Any local(ish) donut shops other than Dunkin Donuts? Would love some awesome donut joint with nice variety as well as good coffee.

I think Strawberry Fields has added a selection of artisanal donuts.

I saw them once a few weeks ago. I don't think I saw them the last time I was in there. There's Montclair Bread up in Montclair and a few other places in similarly slightly distant places that others mention, but not really anything directly in the area. People here don't like donuts I guess.

Which is of course, insane.

It looks like MBC is $2.75 per donut. And if memory serves its not the kind of place you find four old men sitting at a booth together with 4 small coffees and one (shared) newspaper - which to me is a trademark of the neighborhood donut shop

This is not super local but since we're talking about donuts, I have to mention Duck Donuts. They're based in the Outer Banks and are DELICIOUS, and they now have a location in Middletown, NJ. If you happen to be in that area, it's worth your while to seek them out... the maple glazed is my favorite. OMG.

OMG...we LOVE Duck Donuts!!! Had no idea they have a NJ location...drool.

I think Natalie's in Summit has wonderful donuts. They don't have fancy flavors but a really good chocolate frosted makes me swoon. I've noticed they sell out if you don't get there early, at least on Sunday. I try to forget they are there because I'll get fat fast if I eat them regularly.

Cedar Ridge has had great cider donuts lately. I don't know if they have donuts every day though.....definitely worth a shot to go, because even if there aren't donuts, there will be something else that is delicious. And good coffee.
