Thank you MOL. I am pretty sure that this is my dog, Ginger. The photo is not showing for me but I heard my dog made MOL. She is safe, sound and passed out right now after a 2 hour adventure. I am thankful for this community and the Maplewood Police for looking out for her.
I have NO idea how she got out of the newly fenced in yard. Please know that my neighbors who were looking after her so my family and I could enjoy a BBQ for a few hours did everything right. No one knew that she could get out of the fence and my neighbor left her alone for 30 seconds trying to trick her to come into the house. I think Ginger was looking for me as she is very attached to me. The lesson learned is that anyone who lets her out to pee must have her leashed, even in our completely fenced in backyard.
Try checking around the bottom of your fence. My dog was able to flatten herself like a pancake and could squeeze between the ground and the fence in one place. We added some wood to the bottom of the fence to prevent her from escaping again.
