Deal! No Njt strike!!!

Story just broke on ABC.

New Jersey Transit and rail worker unions reached a tentative deal Friday evening averting a rail strike this weekend.Neither side had publicly commented since NJ Transit special counsel Gary Dellaverson said Friday morning that "today's the day" to hammer out a deal.Dellaverson had said that he felt there's no reason the parties shouldn't be able to reach an agreement Friday. The unions had authorized a strike deadline of 12:01 a.m. Sunday.Wages and the cost that employees contribute for health benefits were the sticking points during the negotiations. The terms of the deal are not yet available

So the left hates when the right criticizes Obama for golfing or being away yet is quick to turn around and criticizing one they do not like in the same way.

One can be away yet fully involved.

LOL "fully involved." Give me a break.

I will absolutely criticize that clown for taking my hard-earned money to pay his salary so that he can **** around out of the state for most of the year looking for another job and then going on to frustrate/embarrass his own party in the process, and then make his anniversary plans the priority over a major issue affecting NJ commuters, a demographic that he's gone out of his way to dismiss and screw over at every opportunity.

And don't call me "the left." You don't know anything about me.

as far as I know the only contribution from Christie was to make the terribly unhelpful (and as it turns out, completely untrue) threat that NJT was going to lock out the workers if there was no new contract by Friday.

What a tool

The NYT story I read painted a very different picture of the gov's involvement. I loathe the man, but I have no issue with how he handled this situation. Sniping about his vacation is partisan silliness.

My issue wasn't that he took a vacation.  As far as I'm concerned, keeping Mr. Blowhard as far away from a negotiating table as possible is the best course of action.  My issue was that the little he did was unnecessarily provocative, such as suggesting that NJT lock workers out.  Which would have really sucked for commuters.

The "unnecessarily provocative" argument would be more convincing if they hadn't reached a deal.

All I know is the director of NJT had to announce there was no intention to lock out the workers.  So I conclude that he didn't think the threat was helpful
