Deafening Silence about The Rise of Skywalker

Saw the teaser.  Could be the worst one yet.  The only part that gave me a little hope was the Emperor's cackle at the end.

Rise of Skywalker Teaser

That wasn't the Emperor. It was the Joker.

And dude. Lando!!!

I though the teaser looked pretty good.  Let's face it, I'm going to see the movie whether it is awesome or sucks.

I don't understand how you can judge the potential overall quality of the movie from that trailer.

That said I think it looks fun. And I want to see Ray cut that T.I.E. fighter open as she flips over it.

As apparently I'm the only person on Earth who really liked The Last Jedi, I'm really looking forward to seeing how JJ pulls this whole final act together. Trailer itself looked pretty good. Psyched to see Lando back. I hope Unkar Plutt didn't put drywall over Lando's cloak closet.

I liked the Last Jedi too and I think this one will be great. I’m excited to see how this story ends. I still think Rey is Leia’s daughter and Kylo’s twin

Nothing they put out can be worse than episodes 1-3.  Nothing.

That’s my one fear. I love that Rey’s past is insignificant, and that anyone can rise to become so strong with the force.

I was limiting myself to the sequels.

Well the part where Kylo Ren appears to attack Rey in his Tie Fighter in the only fashion in which she could possibly fight back against him with a light saber just seemed over the top stupid.

I've enjoyed The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi a lot. I agree with ridski-wan that I was glad they didn't try to squeeze Rey into the Skywalker family. I'm not sure if they will walk that back in the Rise of Skywalker.

I'm not sure which Skywalker is going to be rising.  I wasn't kidding in my first post in this thread ... that sounded like Hammill laughing at the end (and if you don't get my Joker reference shame on you  cheese ). So maybe Luke comes back as a villain.

Ben Solo/Kylo Ren is also a Skywalker so that's possible.

And then there's the possibility that Kylo Ren was lying and Rey really is another family member. But that's the least appealing to me.

Not only can anyone rise to become so strong in the force but it only takes three days training to master it.

Whatever the Jedi Council was doing back in the Republic, there was something REALLY wrong with their curriculum.

Well, Rey flips over the top of the fighter...

So the pilot was probably stupid to attack her that way...

That's one way of looking at it. You could also say it was f***ing awesome.

Thought same thing. You know what she is capable of. And you also don’t know what she is capable of. So let’s run her over with an airplane! Similar to holding someone at gunpoint an arm’s length away.

The writing and pacing of the last one was atrocious IMO. I understand others enjoyed it but between Holdo’s warp missile and the trip to the casino I was out.

Sigh. Yes, I’ll watch it. BUT ONLY STREAMING.

Not a hater. Thought Solo was actually pretty awesome.

And what if..... what iffffffffffffffffff

What if Palpatine is a Skywalker?

Right.  I really enjoyed Solo and I LOVED Rogue One but for both Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, it seemed the previews were the best part.  I've got kids so I have to see ROS in the theaters but, otherwise, I would be watching it on a long flight to somewhere.
