Comcast/Xfinity cable TV reliability - am I the only one?

This TV cable has established it's reliability record for me.  I must reboot the cable box almost daily.  Today I am on my second reboot, and it looks like there is a larger problem.  I am growing tired of this nonsense.  And additionally, the pictures I see on other people's Fios is much clearer.  Does any other person have a comment on my experience?

Have the Comcast triple package.  Am told I have an older cable box for the the tv.  No trouble there.  Just installed the newest modem for the computer WiFi.  Seems pretty fast to me.  The phone is a phone is a phone.  Again works for me.  I seem to be one of the lucky few where everything works.  Even the customer service people are efficient and pleasant .

I generally have good service from comcast. It's pretty reliable and fast. I've been using their streaming ability a lot lately, and the streaming is reasonably robust.

I have terrible Xfinity service. Same problems as you, only additionally the boxes seem to reboot themselves several times during the day. About a year ago my whole neighborhood suffered from constant complete outages (several a week). I finally called the BPU who gave me the corporate phone number in Philadelphia.  The woman I spoke to pulled my record and was shocked at how many calls I, and my neighbors, made, with no action taken.  Long story short, they finally located the problem and we all got a free month of service.  I'm still unhappy with the smaller problems and now that my neighborhood has been wired for FIOS, I will switch over (I had FIOS when I lived in Maplewood and only had 1 problem in 8 years).

Had xfinity and for weeks it would reboot in the middle of my workday at home. It became so bad I had to give up working from home and go into the office. When FIOS finally came to town, every single house on my block switched over. I have never placed a call to Verizon over internet connectivity, 3 years in.

Maybe because at most I've only had one box - and now I don't even have that, as I stream everything - that I've had good luck.
