Today and Tuesday should be mostly clear and should be dry, with highs around 40⁰ and lows in the mid 20⁰s

Wednesday daytime looks similar, with gathering clouds in the afternoon. Overnight could bring light showers and a bit of snow. I don't anticipate any accumulation though and it would turn back to light rain showers for Thursday morning

The system likely drags in polar winds behind it, and Thursday and Friday are likely to be cold and breezy, with winds Thursday in the 20 - 25mph range with gusts in the low 30s. Friday breezy as well. Daytime highs Thurs low 40⁰s and Friday mid 30⁰s, lows in the mid 20⁰s overnight

Tonight, showers likely with possible mixed rain and snow overnight, no accumulation likely, no icing likely

Showers ending Thursday morning. Thursday will be windy. The NWS has issued a Wind Advisory for Thursday 6am to 10pm. Winds should be steady at 20 - 25mph with gusts in the 40mph range

Friday, cold and breezy

Weekend should be chilly and dry

Tonight's precipitation will be heavier in the city and Long Island, media reports may reflect that, we should only see 0.1 to 0.25 inches of wet

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 10 PM EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...West winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 to 50 mph
  expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey,
  and southeast New York.

* WHEN...From 6 AM to 10 PM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Secure outdoor objects, including holiday decorations.
