Catering - Italian Food

Looking for recommendations for very good to excellent, reasonably priced Italian style food to cater a house party. Also wondering if anyone has had experience with Libretti's.

I had a meeting I needed to cater and used the Park Wood. I knew they had good food. What I didn't know is that they can knock it out fo the park. Had the eggplant parm as a half tray (and chicken francese). The best eggplant parm ever. And I'm 1) Italian and 2) Love Trat's food - which is my go to for Southern Italian. Pete's brother has nailed the art of the eggplant parm. I would expect he does a great job with the rest.

Another vote for Parkwood! Their food is wonderful!

Joy, do you know how extensive Park Wood's Italian selections are? I have used them for sandwich platters, which were quite good, but had no idea they served real Italian food.

@ral I don't, I'm sorry, but know their catering menu is online. I specifically needed a vegetarian option for that meeting and choose that.

I would also be happy to do real research for you. It's a hard job, but I feel its the least i can do in the name of research...

@Joy - that is so kind of you!

This is MOL at its best - someone volunteering to sacrifice their time to help a stranger find a good meal ; - )

I'll do it - DON'T TRY TO STOP ME!!! It is my mission to taste every Italian option on the menu!!!

We've had Antonio Mozzarella Factory cater a couple of parties at our home - they're awesome.

Here's a link to Reservoir's Off-Site Catering Menu:

I know that Enzzo's in Millburn also does catering. They are hired by Seton Hall on a regular basis. I love their food and the owners & staff.

I haven't been to Libretti's in a while but I always loved their shrimp scampi.

Antonio's Mozzarella Factory. They recently changed ownership (and chefs) but still excellent

Dipietros on Springfield Avenue does catering trays. Their eggplant Parm is excellent

The Reservoir in South Orange good food and plenty of it.

We just moved in the area recently, but I've been eating at Nino's in Harrison before Red Bulls games for a few years now. We recently got food for them for my kid's 2nd birthday and the food was amazing. It's not quite in town, and we had to pick the food up, but it's only about a 15 minute drive when traffic is light. Best part is we got too much, so we had plenty of leftover shells and eggplant.

That's Mr. Nino's!!!

We've heard that Chris Christie gets a deep dish pizza from them once a month like clockwork.

Thanks for the suggestions and comments. Has anyone had any experience with Cioffi's in Springfield/Union? They seem to have a nice catering menu and they deliver, which will be needed.
