Hope the blossoms on the trees that are in full bloom don't freeze! Maybe it is an April Fools joke??
Very cold, snowy weather heading into the Midwest, and seems to be headed our way. So, I wouldn't be surprised if we have a cold spell and a bit of snow. But not TOO much snow or TOO cold...please???
Just snow showers, and not very likely at that. It's spring folks. If you don't like the weather, wait an hour.
plus, we've just had the warmest ever March on record apparently. So all temps are skew-whiff.
do any plants need to be protected in any way, especially hostas just popping out of the ground if it really hits 19?
Perennials will be fine. I am a little concerned about our flowering trees, especially the Chinese magnolias which are peaking now. Snow and ice will definitely damage their blossoms. (Won't hurt the trees, but this year's blooms could be spoiled.)
