Calling all Theatre Buffs: I need help navigating Wicked discount tickets

I am trying to get tickets for my family of 4 to see Wicked's Sunday matinee on 9/6. Would like tkts that offer me a discount, but get me in a seat that has a relatively good view of the stage. I am unfamiliar with the seating in the Gershwin Theatre, but don't want to pay a discounted $120/ticket for an obstructed view.

Does anyone know of a reputable place to by tkts or should I go thru the box office? I also need to know what seats are bad.

Thanks for your help!

Wicked very rarely discounts tickets, and on a holiday weekend you're unlikely to find much. I checked BroadwayBox.com and didn't see anything, but Goldstar might be worth a look.

But otherwise, in terms of reputable, he box office (and Ticketmaster) are always your best source. Broadway.com is a legitimate broker but you'll pay higher fees.

If you can be flexible with dates, Broadway week starts 9/8 and extends 12 days or so. 1/2 price tickets can be found. I got King and I and Les Mis. Great seats and really 1/2 priced Missed Alladin which sold out in minutes. Looks like Wicked is still available.

It's a little confusing but it says the 2-for-1 tickets for Wicked are sold out. It looks like only the "upgrade" is still available, but not for the matinees (I didn't try all performances).

After years of trying, I gave up on getting discounts for 'Wicked' and just bit the bullet and paid full price. Two years later, not much seems to have changed. Seems like 'Book of Mormon' (and possibly 'Hamilton') are going the same way.

There's 2 levels for Broadway week. One is a straight 2 for 1. The second is something like 2 for 1 plus $20 upgrade for best orchestra seats. I found it easier to call than to try to find available dates using the Telecharge sit
