Bye, Bye, Phil Jackson

You gotta hope this is a move that makes the team better. But with Dolan in charge, you never know. I mean who would really want this job? Please, please, please do not bring back Isaiah

Ah that Dolan is a sharp one. Let a guy run your draft and pick players designed to fit his system then fire him a few days later.

First, make sure you exercise the option for the final two years of his contract, obligating the team to pay an additional $24 million while Phil sits at his Montana ranch. And do the whole thing at a point in the basketball year where you'll probably have to live with an arranged marriage between the new GM and Hornacek, at least for a few months (until he is let go and also will have to be paid for doing nothing).

Dolan is indeed a genius, especially for exercising Phil's contract option mere weeks before the firing. But on the bright side, Phil is gone! And he didn't manage to trade Porzingis before he left.

in a city as big as NY, you have to be amazingly idiotic to be its village idiot.  And somehow Dolan is always up to the task.

And yet, miraculously, the Rangers manage to generally run well in spite of him.

Lucky for Rangers Dolan says he knows nothing about hockey.

This is a very good example of one the keys to successful leadership. Know what you don't know and don't be afraid to admit it.  and then rely on the people who do know
