Best local cab company?

Which local cab company do you think offers the best combination of reliability, value, and decent cars? I've used one for many years but the last two cars that picked me up were so dilapidated, I wasn't sure we would make it to the airport. I need a cab to EWR at 5 am and am ready to try someone new.

Note: I sometimes use Uber but have found it's not the best choice for early morning pickups.

A Plus from Union has always been reliable and had decent vehicles.

Dial 7 has been great for me. They arent exactly local but both arrived 15-20 mins early for 2am and 3am pickups. Decent cars, polite drivers, no issues.

Maplewood Taxi is my go-to for early AM. I used them at 5am last Tuesday. It's always the same driver for early morning pickups, and he's always right on time.

Black Crown Cab Company in South Orange is great. Clifford & his staff run a nice, freidnly operation. There offices are right next to Papillion on the 2nd floor.

I use Hamilton for super early or international flights where I can't risk a missed pick up. But they are more pricey. Last Maplewood taxi pick up, the car was on time but the car very shabby.

Union Cab has always been terrific for me, including quite a few pre-5am pickups.

Union Taxi to Newark Airport is the best price, and they're always on time.

Great thread, I have always used Maplewood. I tried 2 other services 2 different occasions and they never showed up; given the hour, we had to drive ourselves one time- a miracle we made the flight. Priority for me is dependable/show up on time. One of them still charged me even though they were late and we luckily got another cab in time - from maplewood!

We use Union Taxi; reasonable and very reliable.
