A true musical theater classic, Fiddler on the Roof transports us to the little village of Anatevka in Czarist Russia, where poor dairyman Tevye, his wife Golda, their five daughters, and a colorful community of characters struggle to celebrate the traditional values they hold dear in a world changing fast around them. The play’s themes of love, loyalty, faith, and family transcend time and social barriers, leaving audiences crying tears of sadness and joy.

Auditions will consist of

  • reading with other auditioners from the script
  • singing 16-32 bars of a song of your choice (those interested in lead roles should sing an appropriate song from the show). If your song is not from Fiddler, bring sheet music; accompanist provided.
  • learning a short dance combination

Please come prepared with a list of your conflicts March 10 - May 19. Rehearsals will begin March 10, 3-4 times per week. Not all cast members will be required at every rehearsal at first. From April 22, rehearsals will be every weekday evening and all cast required.

All roles open and available! For character descriptions, sides, and additional details, please visit our web site at www.thestrollers.org
