Anyone know why Elite Chimney Restoration and Maintenance suddenly Closed

I called in the fall too late to get an appointment for inspection and cleaning of my fireplace flue before we’d want to use our fireplace, but took the offered Feb. appt. 

Received a voicemail message not long ago advising they are closing and won’t make the appt. I’m shocked, since we’ve happily used them for decades in our SO and WO home. Anyone know what happened?

I have made an inquiry with Tophat and Tails, but don’t know anyone who has used them. Anyone on MOL k ownof them?

We used Top Hat and they were fine and we have used Village Sweep and they were fine too.

If anyone is interested, my new awesome-so-far chimney company is Allen Chimneys, LLC. What a super nice guy, and he's happy to explain what concerns he has on as he moves the video camera through the chimney.

They were able to come out relatively quickly and confirmed that we have a serious issue with our chimney and they are going to fix it within about 2 weeks.  

I'll try to remember to post a followup comment after the work is done.

I heard the business went up in smoke.
