Airport shortish term parking

I'm taking a quick business trip. I fly out at 2 pm and return the next day at 11 pm. I normally park in one of the off-site lots (Newark Airport Long-Term Parking) but since I'm gone for just over 24 hours, I'm wondering if I can park at the actual airport. Can I park at the 24-hour onsite lots of is it a max of 24 hours? Any advice?

I recently learned that you can park in any lot on the airport for any amount of time up until 30 days.   The difference is what you pay and distance from the actual terminal.

I save money by using a private lot called Park Plus.

Thanks! No matter what I do, it will be cheaper than a car service both ways so I might just park in the most convenient spot!

i regularly park for multiple days at the short term C lot without any problem. For the time and effort it takes to park remotely, it became worth the $33/day they charge across from the terminal. For one thing, I can leave my house an 1:15 before departure and still make the gate.

Yes, this! And because I won't leave the airport until midnight, I would prefer to be able to just get to my car and go home, rather than waiting for a shuttle.

I can save about $20 by parking in one of the P lots, rather than the Terminal C lot. Knowing that I'm returning late, do you think taking the airtrain out to the P lot will be safe? Is it stupid to save $20 to put myself at risk?

At that time of th night sometimes the Airtrains run on irregular schedules due to maintenance, particularly true if your plane arrives late. Getting to the lots will take longer.  Park as close as you can.   It is a business expense.

You asked if it was safe. There are always other travellers around at that time of night going to all of the lots.

Eta.  Fwiw,  We tend to use P3 for weekend trips and it is fine except for the irritation of waiting for 2 airtrains when they do maintenance. (Then you take the train from C to A and transfer at A to go to P3)

Uber is less than $20 each way, if you want to skip parking entirely.

I do this when flying with kids. A bit more expensive, but so much more convenient.

They're kind of cracking down on Uber cars at the airport.  It might be less than convenient to meet a driver.

I personally go back and forth on the three options (park in front of the terminal, park at the other end of the monorail ride, or take a car service).  Usually, though, if the weather is decent, parking in front of the terminal is my favorite.  (As long as it's a business trip.  For a personal trip, I'd go with the cheapest option.)

I often park in P4.  It is the closest lot to Terminal C (that is not short-term).  It's $27/day and you can walk between P4 and the Terminal if the Airtrain is messed up. It's maybe a 5 minute walk.

Haven't experienced any trouble at all with Uber at the airport; used them at least half a dozen times in the last two months (and I asked the drivers if they'd been having hassles-- they all said no). They do seem to prefer picking you up on level2, rather than at baggage claim, but that might be because there's less traffic.

I did get hit with surge pricing for the first time, trying to get a ride to the airport early on a Saturday morning. Luckily, I was able to wait a half hour, and it dropped back to normal.
