YES! I was JUST there yesterday & can say that there are SUCH SWEETIES available - truly adorable, loving animals! (And yes, I couldn't leave without bringing a big ol' ginger kitty home with me!) Wish I could have taken more....esp. these 2 darlings who are JUST as gorgeous & sweet as they look!!! (Grey & white is #30126 / black & white is "Sassie")
I’ve got too much on my plate to deal with getting any new pets right now, but I will say that I adopted a cat from ASH years ago and he was the sweetest, kindest, best cat ever.
Its almost time for me to go and pull a couple into my rescue. I'm currently playing referee between one of my boys and a senior with spunk that I took home from St. Hubert's.
Those 2 cats are stunning.

If you are thinking of getting a pet, please check out the heart-stealing dogs and cats at AHS Newark, just a few minutes drive from SoMa. Shelter animals are not "damaged" animals--they have simply lost their homes because their previous owners could not take care of them anymore, or they got separated from their owners. And this is the time of year when shelters can get crowded, so adopting is a lifeline in so many ways.
AHS Newark is at 124 Evergreen Avenue in Newark. Open every day from 12-5.
