A Grey Lump In A Tree -- Central Park (and one of the family cat.)

This is the third year this owl has taken winter residence in Central Park. Probably about 5 years old.

The cat has been with us for 10 years.

Love them both!  What time of day did you see the owl?

Owl was at 3 p.m.  It has returned for a couple of years. It will likely be in the park for another week or two.

that owl is fabulous!

Our cat ancestry includes two short haired  tortishells, both lived to be  18' and could have posed for your cat! Many moons ago, one of our tortishells posed for a picture for the News-Record poised to lick the yolk of a fried egg on our driveway. As in, it is so hot that you could fry an egg on your sidewalk! She cooperated with the photographer and he came in close to capture her face and tongue ready to lap it up. Disclaimer: I fried the egg in the house Before placing it on our very hot macadam.

Current cat in residence is a long haired Maine Coon with Tortie coloring.

Second try didn't work either gulp

Pretty cats!  We were at the Raptor Trust on Saturday and saw a Great Horned Owl sitting in a tree next to the cages.  It was about 12:30pm - pretty cool to see one in the wild!
