Headed up to Brewster, NY around 8:30AM and headed back to MAPSO around 1PM. Any weathernuts or others have thoughts on conditions using mostly highway roads?

WNYC sure sounded very sure of themselves as they predicted snow starting maybe by 9PM but definitely by midnight.

No snow yet here.  CBS is predicting  snow to arrive by 11:00 am, heavy .  They are now predicting 4 -6 inches for Essex County. Heavy snow is expected between 2 pm and 6 pm.

Hi.  Like I said above, I am up in Boston at the URJ Biennial and cannot really be on top of this (we are under a winter storm warning here in Boston, though).  What I can tell you is to expect snow most of the day.  It is in fact snowing in MAPSO now but a stack of dry air in the atmosphere is catching it before it hits the ground.  Once the air gets saturated, expect 2 - 4 inches today and overnight, mostly on the grassy surfaces..  Less it going to stick to the roads, but watch out for icy patches tonight.  Be careful, slow down, and enjoy the first snowfall of the season.   grin
