DUMP TRUMP (previously 2020 candidates)

Bernie saved a guy's life.

538 just released their own version of the primary polling averages:

I look forward to cherry-picked screenshots in support or opposition to each poster's candidate of choice.

and I look forward to the people who say they don't believe polls quoting polls that support their candidate.

I don't believe in polls, but sometimes you have to show them to people who do believe in polls to shut them up.

Cherry picking polls you like doesn't shut anyone up.

Sure does when the person you are shutting up has been cherry-picking them constantly.

when did anyone here ever shut up?

I'm just mentioning a pattern.  I'm not naming names.  I get into enough trouble as it is.

Wacky stuff from the Bloomberg camp.  Bloomberg has bought himself up to something like 5% just on constant ads alone.  He's also doing some wacky things like sending out campaign ads disguised as polls, and pretending his campaign has not copied the Mayor Pete High Hopes dance (as if we need another one of those).  And then firing the guy who came up with the dance by tweeting denial of his existence.

I can't tell if this stuff is real or made up.  The "intern" has a site called "Dropout Bloomberg" supposedly because he's mad about being fired and says the Bloomberg dance is staged (it does look like it).

In other words, Nan is now concerned about Bloomberg.  Time to attack.

No, actually I thought it was entertaining and kind of funny.  I think the whole thing is actually a joke.  You decide:

The whole thing is a joke.  I can understand how some Bernie supporters got "punked".

Bloomberg didn't "fire" the guy, since the guy was never on Bloomberg's campaign.  The "Bloomberg Dance" video is an audience at a comedy club.

No, it's at a Bloomberg "rally." grin

It's not a good omen for a candidate who acts, or is viewed by voters, like Corbyn.  That's about it.

Of course. But if Corbyn had won, it would have been a good omen for the progressive movement.

What makes you think most of America does not view Sanders like the the Brits viewed Corbyn? Sanders may be up there in the Democratic primary polls but that only represents 15% of that group.

This is garbage reporting, but of course, it will be repeated and amplified through the mainstream media.  Corbyn did not lose because of his progressive policies.  He lost because of weak position on Brexit and because of the constant media smears (See my thread on the Integrity Initiative in the Alternative media section about the govt. funded smear campaign).  It's actually not a good omen for CENTRISTS because Labour caved on Brexit due to influence from the centrists and they all lost their seats too.

The constant lies and smears helped defeat Corbyn.  Because of that there will be more antisemitic/Russian lies and smears directed at Bernie.  I've already seen three nasty accusations on twitter.  I'm sure you will be above all of this and will not participate in the attacks and help get Trump elected.  Thank you.

And you know this from your extensive exit interviews with UK voters?

Of course, Corbyn didn’t lose just because of his progressive agenda, and the fact that he lost doesn’t guarantee a progressive would lose in the US next November. But if you can’t/won’t even acknowledge that Corbyn’s loss isn’t a good omen for progressives in terms of how the wind is blowing currently, you really have your head in the sand.

Here’s a decent piece that cites reasons why corbyn lost. #2 relates to his progressivism.

As time goes by my prediction is Bernie is going to bow to Elizabeth Warren. She is not who I would choose for president but I think this will happen. Warren should change her dressing style. A little casual for a presidential candidate.

It's a bad omen for progressives because the centrists on MSM will count on views not knowing anything about UK politics and exploit it as propaganda.  Your list says that people liked the progressive policies but did not like the way they were presented.  That is good advice, but not a condemnation of Progressive policies or politicians. The other problems are much bigger especially #4 sounds much more like the way centrists are usually described:

A regular line trotted out by opposition parties, particularly by the Conservatives and the Brexit party during the election was that Labour had taken its traditional working-class support base for granted. Despite promises to tax billionaires to fund investment in public services that would have helped those on lower incomes, Labour’s offer failed to convince voters in old coal, steel and manufacturing towns. The so-called “red wall”, made up of seats such as Bolsover, Rother Valley, Blyth Valley, Darlington and Redcar turning Tory indicated a severing of Labour allegiances that in some cases span back 100 years. There has been criticism that Corbyn, as a middle-class north Londoner, was unable to appeal to working-class communities personally despite his policies, and many of his shadow cabinet colleagues, including the shadow foreign secretary, Emily Thornberry, the shadow Brexit secretary, Keir Starmer and the shadow home secretary, Diane Abbott, were drawn from neighbouring constituencies.

Bernie Sanders has been specifically appealing to the working class and that is his base and the core of his supporters.

Based on what?  Warren is dropping in the polls while Bernie is rising.  I think it is more likely that she throws in the towel to become his VP.
