2020: Bloom & Garden photos

It is Tree Peony season (regretably all too short).  The pink opened on April 30th, and the white with rose center on May 2nd:

Columbines - one of my favorite flowers

And some lilacs in the rain the other day.

First columbine blossom of the season.

Jamie,

I believe that your Clematis is Nelly Moser.

Thanks - I didn't know - it'a good to know the name.  grin

We picked up 4 more - all different, I hope they do as well.

Part 1 A walk around our central grass panel.  Video Lori Sutherland, neighbor, Azalea care and pruning, Vicki Carter.   Massive weeding, Logan Carter!

The Secret Garden @ 377.

I am so very proud of the Restoration and of how much residents support her!

Part 2 The Deeper Garden to follow...

Maybe the video couldn't load.

Here are three photos

Best Regards,

Gorgeous. Are they David Austin roses? What is the name of the rose? I had a beautiful rose garden, the deer won, I lost.

Thank you! Yes, they are David Austin roses, A Shropshire Lad.  The weather must be agreeable to them this year. No deer problems in Hilton area, yet.

Didn't know this would bloom.  It did.  But what is it?

I'm sending over a nibbler in training.

@bigben_again , do you know what this is? She raised a zillion succulents for the Maplewood Garden Club.

Went to Jockey Hollow & the nearby Cross Estate Garden on Memorial Day.  In order:

  • Visteria hanging from pergola
  • Iris in the gardens
  • A pale true blue flower.  Couldn't find the name.
  • Yellow & red chestnuts (not European) in bloom.
  • Close-up of red chestnut.
  • Dogwood by the house.

I believe the blue flower is an Allium. There is a small one that is very blue. Most familiar to us are the purple ones. Thanks for the great photos!

It's an acre sized secret on top of the 2 story parking garage behind Harrison Park Towers in East Orange. Near the VA hospital...

Harrison Park Gardens in East Orange. It is a courtyard in an apartment building. I've been there and it is lovely. There is a FB page as well. Oops didn't realize you were answered.

Thank goodness for my garden! It’s helping me cope with all that is happening.
