The Cougars had Livingston on the ropes on Wednesday but lost at Cameron, 5-4. The county champs took the rematch on Thursday, too, 5-0.
Even so, Columbia (13-11 overall) finished 10-6 in the Super Essex Conference’s top division, after going 7-9 last season. I remember hearing, three years ago, some worries about how the Cougars would fare when they moved up to the American Division. They’ve held their own with the county powers.
A lot of seniors are leaving, so 2019 will be a big test. The nine-month countdown to neatsfoot has started.
Thanks to all (!) who visited this thread, but especially @shh.

softball ended the season 16-9. In the SEC liberty division the girls were 7-3 just behind Caldwell and Millburn, who both ended the season at 7-2 (and the Cougars beat them both).
Losing a lot of seniors as well, including two strong pitchers.
I saw the SEC all conference awards but don't want to post them yet!
