 Drinks all around!

My favorite part.... one pint per month was allowed to be sold "for medicinal purposes." It was to be sold through pharmacies. One pharmacy, Walgreens, went from a couple of stores to 300 in a matter of months.

There was also a tremendous upsurge in religious observance, as that was another exemption.

..

That pic. Makes me think of burning witches. They couldn’t just pour the booze into a convenient harbour (for example), and reuse the barrels? What’s this constant fascination with burning things, and/or  blowing them up??

Sigh.

I can't figure out how they built the damn thing.
