'Nduja sausage anyone?

Anyone ever try this latest thing among the foodie trend-set?

I'm Italian and I've never heard of it before, but it seems to be all over the place now.

Not even sure how to pronounce it. n-doo-ja?

Anyone know where to get it? I was thinking of Pastosa's in Florham Park as a possible place. I'm due to go there anyway to get some of their sausage bread. mmmmm.

I found it in Whole Foods once. It’s delicious, if you like salami  this is basically salami spread.

I just checked with Pastosa's and they don't have it. I'll check whole foods.

I read this and had to wipe the drool off my shirt....

ridski,

do you remember how much you paid for it? I called 2 WF stores and both said they didn't carry it. I found it online but not sure if $14 for 6 oz is robbery or not.

I don't remember how much it was, but it wasn't in double digits. Have you tried calling N&K Prime on Springfield?

I guess I'll splurge for the Amazon deal.

Maybe you can make it yourself. Buy a roll of Hebrew National salami and throw it in the food processor.

I am a long time enemy of the Hebrew National salami.

How dare it appropriate the salami name.

(Not my favorite food.)

Anyway, I placed an Amazon order. I think I'll get it Monday.

Oh for the days of next-day delivery.

I haven't had it in many years but when I was a kid it was a staple in the house. Sandwiches, and with eggs. Ah, Hebrew National salami and eggs, brings back memories of my father.

Yes, it brings back memories of my FIL, of which it was a favorite. A fine man, but I cringed at that sausage.

I finally got my 'nduja from Amazon. Took a couple of tries.

Now I have to figure out what to do with it.
