Things We Keep/The Geno Project: Art Talk

Art Talk: Thursday, June 2nd, 2016; 7-9pm Things We Keep / The Geno Project Exhibition Dates: Thursday, May 18 - Thursday, June 19th, 2016 Keep; verb. 1. Have or retain possession of. 2. Continue or cause to continue in a specified condition, position, course, etc. The panel discussion for Things We Keep and The Geno Project will explore the many ways humans feel the need to act as keepers. What are the things we take upon ourselves to retain and maintain? Six artists from the SOMA Studio Tour- Sybil Archibald, Alaine Becker, Susan Napack, Ellen Weisbord, Florence Weisz, and Tricia Zimic- will discuss their artistic processes in Things We Keep. Barbara Dlugosz and Brian Kappock will present a synopsis of their father, Eugene Kappock’s work for the Daily News and how they’re keeping his legacy alive in The Geno Project.
