SouthNext, a three-day festival of music, arts and ideas is coming to South Orange, NJ from June 17-19. This one-of-a-kind annual event showcases the outstanding creative atmosphere, talent and diversity of the South Orange/Maplewood community. SouthNext features more than 20 creative and interactive sessions, 12 musical performances, and one giant \"Creative Midway\" of interactive community art projects. SouthNext takes place across eight strollable venues in the Village Center: SOPAC, Sloan Street, Ricalton\'s Village Tavern, Above Restaurant & Bar, Gaslight Brewery & Restaurant, D&I Fitness, South Mountain Yoga and Work and Play. The festival kicks off Friday night with Tech(ing) Ball, a three story cocktail party meets creative circus that will fill SOPAC both inside and out. SouthNext performers and presenters include The Smithereens*, Hey Anna, Brother Valiant, Studio B, David Brancaccio and the Mike Griot Blues Band.
