Rosh Hodesh is the Hebrew term for the beginning of the month on the Jewish calendar which has evolved into a women’s holiday. Temple B’nai Abraham’s Sisterhood—The Women’s Connection joins together, led by Rabbi Faith Joy Dantowitz, a few times a year to welcome the new month with conversation, learning, spiritual growth, and connection. On Rosh Hodesh, Thursday December 14,, at 7:30 PM, join the TBA Sisterhood—The Women’s Connection for “The real story of Hanukkah: Miracles and Might. Sufganiyot (Doughnuts) and Wine” led by Rabbi Dantowitz. Observe the 3rd night of Hanukkah by brining your own hanukkiah (Hanukkah menorahs) and candles so we can literally add more light to the world! We will celebrate the approaching new month of Tevet and learn about the real story of Hanukkah. Spiritual nourishment and sweet nosh will be provided. Donna Ellenbogen and Deborah Jacob are Co-Presidents of Sisterhood—The Women’s Connection. Bernice Garbade is the Rosh Hodesh chair. All women are welcome to join Sisterhood—The Women’s Connection as we share in this special women’s holiday. Registration is required by December 11 .
