Shuttles, Spindles, and Flyers: Spinning and Weaving in the 21st Century at Durand-Hedden

Durand-Hedden hosts spinning, weaving, and sheep shearing on Sunday, April 23

On Sunday, April 23, from 1pm to 4pm, Durand-Hedden House & Garden in Maplewood will host an engaging program on spinning and weaving in the twenty-first century featuring the Essex County Spinners.

The program will include live sheep shearing in Grasmere Park, as well as weavers and spinners at work. Members of the Essex County Spinners will demonstrate their craft and answer questions. The program is suitable for all ages and there will be activities just for kids.
