Learn how to make and play a traditional West African shekere from a dried gourd and beads. Play your instrument in a drum circle during the XROOTSFEST on July 16 at Floods Hill in South Orange (Cross Roots Fest—a multicultural festival sponsored by The South Orange/Maplewood Community Coalition on Race).
