The Sunday, October 8, Open House at Durand-Hedden House & Garden will feature three talented local ceramists working with different methods and showcasing diverse techniques and craft.

Aimee Mower Lally and Petra Pankow of Maplewood and Jennifer Evans Arbo of Green Brook, NJ, are all accomplished ceramicists with a wide-ranging repertoire and approaches to the medium. They will be giving demonstrations to the public and answering questions about their process, technique and how they came to be potters. They will have an extensive and varied body of work for sale during the event. The Durand-Hedden House will also be a stop on the SOMA Studio Tour on November 4 and 5, when their pottery will be featured and available for purchase.

There will also be an exhibit of nineteenth-century New Jersey redware and stoneware, pottery for sale, clay and other crafts for kids, and shopping at our beautiful Country Store. Plus, live bluegrass music featuring musicians from Blue Plate Special from 2pm to 3pm.
