Celebrating its seventh decade of performances, the Musicians from Marlboro are praised for their joyous and thoroughly prepared performances. The Washington Post calls them “so fresh and full-blooded, so full of earthy vitality and sheer sensual pleasure, that it made you happy to be alive.”
Created as an extension to the Vermont Marlboro Music Festival, Musicians from Marlboro serves as a valuable touring experience to artists at the beginning of their careers and for featuring programs of unusual as well as beloved chamber repertoire.
Since its inception, the Musicians from Marlboro have introduced great talents including pianist Yefim Bronfman, pianist Richard Goode, violinist and conductor Jaime Laredo, pianist and conductor Murray Perahia, flutist Paula Robison, pianist and conductor Sir András Schiff, pianist Peter Serkin, clarinetist Richard Stoltzman, violinist Christian Tetzlaff, soprano Benita Valente, and clarinetist Harold Wright, among others.
