Prospect Presbyterian Church will offer a Maundy Thursday Service of Communion and combine it with a Tennebrae Service at 7:30 PM. The first half of the service will be in remembrance of the last supper and to celebrate communion. The Tennebrae Service will then use light and darkness to help experience the pain and suffering of Jesus on the cross. As each of the seven last words of Jesus is spoken, the church will gradually be darkened and all the colors and decorations from the church will be removed. The service ends in darkness to the sound of the hammering of nails.
