An exploration of the Preludes and Fugues

In the fall of 2019, local pianist, teacher and writer Birgit Matzerath started a series of presentations introducing two Preludes and Fugues from Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier Book 1 on the third Friday of each month at the Ethical Culture Society. The plan to introduce listeners to all 24 Preludes and Fugues in the course of a year was interrupted by the Pandemic half way through. Last month, presentations resumed with Preludes and Fugues No 13 and 14. This month, we're continuing with No 15 and 16.
