Parents and Teens - Join us as we BUST the '9 Deadly Myths of Driver Training' Car crashes are the #1 killer of 15 – 20 year olds in America. More than guns, alcohol and drugs COMBINED! In 2014, over 33,000 teenage drivers were involved in car crashes in New Jersey. The good news is that 9 out of 10 of these are preventable. To assist in reducing this number, the West Orange Education Association (WOEA) and the New Jersey Education Association are partnering with Save Your Teen Driver, LLC, to offer a FREE workshop to parents and teenagers. This is NOT just "another teen driving event" Parents and Teens will take an interactive, online evaluation that “tests drivers like they have never been tested before - in the 6 Key Areas of Driving.” From this fun and effective 20 minute evaluation, the driver learns their Driving Score as well as their Risk Level of causing a crash. This test will completely change the way you think about driving! Parents and their Teenagers are enthusiastically invited and may bring their own laptops or register for one that will be provided for you. Participants will be able to take the test, receive their scores, and meet with a certified Defensive Driving expert afterward for a Q & A session – all in 1 Hour!
