Art & Music Reception: Louis Stool

Art & Music Reception Our summer exhibit is the work of Louis Stool (1912-1982). Stool studied in Mexico and NYC, and created his artwork while working full time and raising 5 children with his wife, Mildred. Louis painted many portraits of family members, some of which are included in this exhibit. His work reflects his life-long interest in politics, economics and social justice as well as his unusual sense of humor and of the absurd. His daughter, Carol Buchanan, is a member of the Library Board of Trustees. Jim Buchanan and Elfin Vogel, Louis Stool\'s son-in-laws, will perform as a Classical Duo. Buchanan.
