An Evening With Leo Kottke

Leo Kottke is the legendary, Grammy Award-nominated, acoustic guitar virtuoso who has developed a cult following of fellow guitarists and fans over the span of a 30-year career. He blends folk, jazz, and blues influences into a signature finger-picked style of syncopated, polyphonic music. Leo has collaborated on two albums with Phish bassist Mike Gordon, Clone, and Sixty Six Steps. He was born in Athens, Georgia, but left town after a year and a half. Raised in 12 different states, he absorbed a variety of musical influences as a child, flirting with both violin and trombone, before abandoning Stravinsky for the guitar at age 11.
