American Theater Group, a professional member of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance, is SOPAC’s theatre company in-residence. Headed by Producing Artistic Director James Vagias, the theatre company presents staged readings of new work in the SOPAC Loft and will produce fully-staged productions on the SOPAC mainstage beginning next season. On Sunday, Apr. 4 they will be staging a reading of "A Good Farmer" by Sharyn Rothstein. With a plot that seems to have been ripped from todays headlines, "A Good Farmer" tackles a small farming community that Ripped from today’s headlines, a farming community struggles with issues of immigration, loyalty, family, survival and compassion.
