15 Minute Child Break Find out the role you play and the power you have in preventing your children from abusing drugs and alcohol.Did you know that children whose parents talk to them about their activities for an average of 15 minutes each day are 67% less likely to try marijuana? The 15 Minute Child Break is a one-hour multi-media presentation for parents and caregivers, offered by the Partnership for a Drug Free New Jersey. Discover your role in substance abuse prevention. Learn how to talk to your children about drugs, signs of use and abuse to look for, current terminology, and trends of use. The presentation is based on specific research conducted by the PDFNJ’s Center for Prevention Research. Thursday, October 9 6:30 pm at Hilton Branch Presenter Jamielee Smith is a school Student Assistance Coordinator and has worked in drug/alcohol treatment centers, schools, and other institutions for over 10 years. Her wealth of expertise comes from interactions with clients, students, parents, and colleagues.
